About Me

Dr. Jayanta Debbarma

A distinguished groundwater researcher from Tripura, India, specializing in sustainable water management. His expertise lies in groundwater potential mapping, spring shed management, and spring identification, utilizing advanced methodologies such as the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Through his research, Dr. Debbarma has significantly contributed to identifying areas with substantial groundwater resources and springs, particularly in the flood plains and intermontane synclinal troughs of Tripura, thereby aiding in the sustainable management of these vital resources.

My Journey

1988-1990

Diploma in Civil Engineering.

At Polytechnic Institute, Narsingarh, Tripura, my Diploma in Civil Engineering sparked a passion for building a better world. Mastering design and construction fundamentals, I developed problem-solving skills and a vision for impactful engineering, setting the stage for my future endeavors.

1991

Job Joining.

Joining P.W.D Water Resources (WR), Government of Tripura, marked my entry into public service engineering. Leveraging my civil engineering diploma, I contributed to vital water management and infrastructure projects, turning academic knowledge into real-world impact for sustainable development in the state.

2002

B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Earning my B.Tech in Civil Engineering from NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology) was a transformative milestone. Diving deeper into advanced engineering concepts, I honed my skills in structural design and project management. This journey at NERIST fueled my passion for innovative infrastructure solutions, equipping me to tackle real-world challenges with confidence and expertise.

2007

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

Conquering the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) was a pivotal achievement in my academic journey. This rigorous exam tested my civil engineering expertise and problem-solving skills, pushing me to new heights of discipline and determination. Clearing GATE opened doors to advanced opportunities, reinforcing my commitment to excellence in engineering and shaping my future aspirations.

2011

ME in Civil Engineering.

Pursuing my M.E. in Civil Engineering at Jadavpur University was a defining leap in my academic and professional journey. Immersed in advanced studies of structural engineering and innovative design, I sharpened my technical expertise and research skills. This experience deepened my passion for creating sustainable infrastructure, preparing me to tackle complex engineering challenges with precision and vision.
